Water
Water is an important element which helps to keep the skin moist. Experts advise to have an intake of 6-8 glasses of water daily. It also helps in flushing out the toxins from the body.

Cleansing-
It is advisable to wash your face regularly. It helps in removing the dirt and pollutants on your skin. While washing lukewarm water has to be used.  Do not scrub too hard; be gentle on your skin.

Soap must be avoided
The facial skin is very delicate compared to the skin on your body. Therefore it is important to remember that soap should be avoided at all costs while washing your face.

Use sun protection-
It is common knowledge that when you venture out your skin is exposed to UV radiation from the sun. Using sunscreens is a very common and important skin care tip that should be followed by everyone.

Eat raw and fresh vegetables and fruits
Try to include uncooked vegetables and fruits in your diet. Cooked food destroys the fluorine content. And deficiency of this chemical leads to patchy dry skin. Also deficiency of sodium causes wrinkles. Cucumber is rich in sodium and also keeps the body cool. So it is advisable to increase the amount of salads in your diet.

Minimize alcohol  intake
  • Alcohol is not only harmful for your general health but also makes your skin dry. This later on leads to early aging of your skin.
  • Warm water with honey- To get a healthy glow to your skin it is advised to drink warm water with a little honey every morning.
  • Remove make-up before you sleep-
  • Never forget to wash your face before going to sleep if you have just come from a party with lot of make-up on. And also make sure you exfoliate twice a day.

Apply face masks-
Using facial masks everyday is not harmful. You can make homemade face-masks made up of mashed fruits and yogurt.

Keep your skin hydrated always
Apply moisturizers always on your face. Keep in mind that the moisturizers should contain vitamin A and vitamin C.

Do not over-cleanse
Wash your face twice a day preferably. Washing it too often will make your facial skin dry. And also it is important to keep in mind that less concentrated the cleanser more gentle it is on the skin. Therefore the cleanser must be diluted with water before application on the skin.
